Introduction: The Backbone of Indian Economy

The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector plays a crucial role in India’s economic and social development. 1. Formalization of MSMEs: The Udyam Revolution

The Udyam Registration Portal, launched on 01.07.2020, provides free, paperless, and digital registration for MSMEs. The Udyam Assist Platform (UAP) was launched on 11.01.2023 to bring Informal Micro Enterprises into the formal ambit.

Milestone Achieved: More than 7.30 crore enterprises registered on Udyam platforms from 01.07.2020 to 17.12.2025
