Brief Description of Recruitment

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has invited online applications for Class 6 & 9 admissions for the academic session 2026–27 through the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST). The online application started on 30th July 2025 and the last date has been extended to 07th October 2025. A total of 653 seats are available across various districts. Candidates must be residents of the district and have passed Class 8 from a government or recognized school. Admission will be based on the entrance exam and merit.

No application fee is required for any candidate.

Age Limit

Candidate must be born between 01 May 2011 and 31 July 2013. Age relaxation as per NVS rules is applicable.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must be residents of the district where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is located and should have passed Class 8 from a government or government-recognized school in that district. Applications must be submitted for the Navodaya school in the same district.
